		<description>Well, after the whole debacle surrounding the calling/uncalling/recounting of Ohio and Florida in the 2000 election, the major news outlets were waiting for the polls to *officially* close on the west coast before calling the race.  It&#039;s not like we thought for a split second that McCain would take CA, OR, or WA; but we had to wait for the &quot;official&quot; announcement to WOOT!WOOT! for Obama.

And yes, by 11:02pm, you could hear fireworks, happy gunfire, and jubilant horn honks in the neighborhood.</description>
